Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs for Families

What is Click on Camps?

Click on Camps is an online directory of community camps across Canada.  This online directory grew out of our families’ difficulties and frustrations in finding local camps for our children. And as our children grew and their interests changed, the difficulties in finding camps that they were interested in throughout the year remained.

Click on Camps was designed to make it as easy and efficient in finding and registering for local community camps regardless of the child’s age or interest, location and even the time of the year.

Click on Camps will also notify you of upcoming camp programs if you sign-up for the e-notices.

How is it different from other camp directories?

Click on Camps is unlike any other camp directory. First and foremost, Click on Camps is focused on providing community camp information. This includes sports and arts organizations, museums, educational institutions, religious organizations, special needs organizations, etc. This includes any organization that offers a ‘camp’ program for the summer, winter holiday, March break or even during school professional activity days- anytime your children may be out of school, there may be a local program available for them.

Click on Camps will search for programs that are available based on your child’s age, interest and in the location specified. And without having to leave the website, you may register online.

From the list of available camp programs, you may review the individual camp descriptions, contact them for more information and even register for the camp online.

Why should I sign up for the e-camp notices?

Click on Camps sends out notices on new camp programs in your area, camp information such as upcoming registration dates, and tips on sending your children to camp.

As camps can add new camp programs, add more spaces in their camp programs, and change registration dates and information throughout the year, the Click on Camp e-notices camp will keep you informed on your local community camps and programs.

At anytime, you may choose to unsubscribe from the e-notices by:

  • selecting the unsubscribe link on the bottom of the e-notices, or
  • entering your email in the e-notice section on the homepage and then checking the unsubscribe box.

How do I look for camps within a geographical range?

Enter the nearest city or town into the Location box. Click on Camps will search for available camp programs within 40km of the specified location.

How can I look at all the camps?

Select the Camp Directory link from the bottom navigation bar on the home page.

Do I have to register and pay online?

Each camp is different and will provide their information on how you can register and pay for the specific camp program. Please contact the individual camp if you need to make alternative arrangements for registration and payment.

How do I contact the camp?

First, search for a camp program that best meets you and your child’s needs and interests. From the list of available camp programs, you can find further camp information by clicking on the camp program.

Alternatively, go to the Camp Directory, to locate a specific camp. Camp contact information in the form of phone, email and/or website is provided by each camp organization.

If you are having difficulties contacting a specific camp organization, would like to see a certain camp, or am interested in finding a camp with certain activities, please send Click on Camps an email at info@clickoncamps.com. We would love to hear from you!
